EBGH Chat — Privacy Policy

Overview

EBGH Chat (“the App”) is a private, internal messaging application provided by Dr. Erfan & Bagedo General Hospital (“we”, “us”) for use by its authorized staff only. A valid hospital account is required to sign in. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.

Information We Collect

• Account information — your name, username, email address, and work details (such as department or position) provided by the hospital.
• Messages & content — the text messages, photos, documents, and voice notes you send and receive within the App.
• Identifiers — a user ID associated with your account.
• Device push token — used solely to deliver notifications about new messages.

How We Use Information

Information is used only to provide and operate the messaging service (App Functionality), including:

• Authenticating you and securing your account.
• Delivering your messages, files, and voice notes to the intended recipients.
• Showing who sent each message and displaying staff profiles.
• Sending push notifications for new messages.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing. Message-notification delivery relies on the operating system’s push services (Apple Push Notification service and the Expo push service), which process only the minimal data needed to deliver a notification in real time.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by Dr. Erfan & Bagedo General Hospital. Access is restricted to authorized hospital staff. Communication between the App and our servers is protected using HTTPS encryption.

Data Retention & Deletion

Account and message data is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the service. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data and account, contact us at the address below and we will act on your request.

Children

The App is intended for hospital staff only and is not directed at children.
