RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS

Academic Affairs — Research Unit promotes high-quality clinical and educational research that improves patient outcomes and advances healthcare practice. We support investigators with ethics approval, study design, data management, and manuscript preparation to increase the visibility and impact of EBGH research output.

Research Mission & Scope

Enable safe, ethical, and methodologically sound research across all specialties—spanning clinical trials, observational studies, quality improvement, medical education, and public health.

Ethics & IRB / REC

All human-subject research must be approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB/REC) prior to data collection. The unit provides templates for protocols, consent forms, and data-privacy plans, and guides investigators through the submission and review timeline.

  • Determine study route (Exempt / Expedited / Full Board).
  • Prepare consent/assent, data security, and adverse-event plans.
  • Register clinical trials where applicable.

Authorship & Integrity

EBGH follows ICMJE authorship criteria and COPE guidance. Studies undergo similarity checks and require disclosure of funding and conflicts of interest. Use ORCID for author identification and ensure raw data are available upon reasonable request per policy.
