Patient Care Technician Program
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) program in Saudi Arabia is designed to enhance the healthcare system in alignment with Vision 2030. Its objective is to address the increasing demand for skilled Saudi men and women in the nursing workforce. PCTs will operate under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) in both inpatient and outpatient settings, performing tasks such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and facilitating patient mobilization. The program is internationally benchmarked against the American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training and has been tailored to meet local needs. Upon successfully completing a final assessment, PCTs will be classified by the SCFHS and will be eligible to work in both the public and private sectors.
