IVF has been used safely for more than two decades. In a typical IVF procedure, a woman is treated with fertility drugs to stimulate the development of high quality eggs. To ensure that a large numbers of healthy eggs are available for fertilization. Eggs are then retrieved through ultrasound and prepared for insemination using sperm from male partner. Fertilization occurs in laboratory dish especially prepared with culture medium that support and nourished the fertilized eggs. Within 48 to 72 hours after fertilization, embryo is transferred to the woman uterus. Since the introduction of IVF there have been many other important developments that have made infertility treatment even more effective for both men and women.

    Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

ICSI is a procedure where a “single” sperm is selected and delivered directly into a women’s egg. ICSI is an effective option for men with low sperm count or sperm that cannot reach the egg successfully. Using ICSI in cases of severe male problems, we consistently have higher than 70% of eggs fertilized and more than 95% of all patient underlying this treatment at this center have embryos to return to the wife uterus.

    Pre Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)

Through this program we will we be able to test individual cells (Blastomeres) from the embryo and detect the sex of the embryo before we transfer to the mother, this will be useful especially to prevent x-linked diseases in families with such diseases like Hemophilia and some forms of muscular dystrophies (Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies) and some forms of mental retardation (x-linked).

CRYOPRESERVATIONis the ability to freeze and store embryos that are transferred right away. This process can allow couples to achieve a “pregnancy” later. Either after a first birth of following “medical” treatments that might affect fertility such as chemotherapy for “cancer” treatment.

MALE FACTOR INFERTILITY, our comprehensive services include microsurgical repair of obstruction and vasectomy reversals, surgical repair of varicoceles, and epididymal and testicular sperm retrieval for use with IVF and ICSI.
